What to Expect During an HVAC Replacement
After scheduling an appointment to get your home’s HVAC unit replaced, most people don’t know what to expect. Comfort Hounds would like to take a moment to talk about what homeowners can expect when they have their HVAC unit replaced. This job is a big one, it‘s not like replacing a light switch or a faucet. It‘s a whole system and it needs to be done correctly in order for your home to remain comfortable all year long.
There are four main steps in this process:
- The first step is to remove the old system. We have to take everything out – the furnace, the AC unit, the ducts, everything. This is messy work and there will be debris everywhere once we‘re done.
- Next, we‘ll install all of the new components – the furnace, the AC unit, and the ducts – making sure that they‘re all properly sized and installed according to code requirements.
- After that we‘ll test everything out to make sure it‘s working properly and that the home is heating and cooling as it should be.
4 Finally, we‘ll clean up after ourselves and leave your home looking exactly as it did before we arrived – except with a brand new HVAC system! It‘s important to remember that this is a big job and it will take some time to complete. We‘ll need access to your home for at least one day, and sometimes two. We‘ll also need to turn off your utilities for a short period of time while we‘re working.
We understand that this can be an inconvenience, but we promise that it will be worth it in the end. When you have a new HVAC system installed, you‘ll be able to save energy and money, and you‘ll enjoy improved comfort in your home all year long. The professionals at Comfort Hounds make it our priority to make the process as quick, easy, and convenient as possible for all customers. Have more questions?
