Our Pet Food Drive! At Comfort Hounds, helping out pets in need in our community is not just a habit — it’s a passion. We love finding new ways to aid our furry friends, whether it’s volunteering at a local animal shelter or hosting adoption events. This summer, we’re focusing our efforts on The Friends of Wake County’s “No Empty Bowl” Project which helps collect food for the hungry pet population of Wake County with our pet food drive. FWCAC started the project in mid-2020 after realizing the impact the pandemic was having on pets in the area. When families lose their income, pet food is one of the first items they cut from the shopping list. FWCAC saw the need and swooped in. In the last year, they’ve helped feed hundreds of starving dogs, cats, and critters.
Although the pandemic is mostly over, there are still a lot of hungry pets in the local area that needs our help and we are ramping things up with our pet food drive. Starting July 19, we’re teaming up with Stanley Dentistry in Cary to provide a drop-off spot for non-perishable, unopened pet food. If you’re unsure of what items to bring, take a look at this wishlist FWCAC put together.
There are two convenient drop-off locations for our pet food drive in Cary and Raleigh:
3731 NW Cary Pkwy #201, Cary, NC 27513
1008 Fieldgrass Pl Raleigh, NC 27603
